NORTH WOODS CONSERVANCY
SEVEN MILE POINT

Seven Mile Point (SMP) contains 32 acres and 1,854’ of Lake Superior sand, bedrock, and cobble shoreline.  SMP is open to the public from noon to sunset on weekends from 15 May to 15 October.   Non-members are asked to donate $5 per car to help cover the cost of the picnic tables and porta-potty.

Access to SMP is via Sunset Bay Road off Five Mile Point Road.  Please Click Here for printable map and directions in Adobe Acrobat format.   The hours and dates are limited because the road to SMP is owned and controlled by the SMP Property Association.  The NWC chose to pursue protection of SMP with limited, conditional public access rather than see it developed and closed to the public in perpetuity.

If you are not a member, please Join Us!   Your membership and letter of support (sample) will help the NWC service the loan and obtain grants to pay it off.
