Held since 1986, the International Coastal Cleanup engages people to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways, to identify sources of debris, and to change the behaviors that cause pollution.
The North Woods Conservancy is the Michigan Coastal Cleanup Coordinator for the Keweenaw Peninsula. Our ultimate goal is to clean the entire perimeter of the Keweenaw and all the interior lakes and rivers. Each year, another segment is added.
